Classes Offered

The Spring Semester of Adult Polish classes will start on Tuesday January 10- May 22, 2012 from 5- 9 PM

Children's classes take place on Thursday evening from 6-8:30 PM.

There will be 20 weeks during our Spring Session consisting of 18 sessions plus 2 snow days.

The following classes will be offered in the Spring 2012:

Children's Polish School - is aimed at students 6-13 yr old students who are learning the Polish language from scratch or who know very little of it from the family home. They will develop communicative competence of children through games, songs, pictorial historian and other forms of which are not too difficult, interesting and fun.
Class meets on Thursday, 6:00PM -8:00 PM, first class meets on January 12, 2012

Cost: $55 (per year) plus optional textbooks

Polish Basics - Designed for broad base of students with varied knowledge of Polish; provides basic speaking, writing and reading skills that will help the students communicate in fundamental everyday situations. Elements of Polish grammar are introduced.
Class meets on Tuesday mornings, 11:30 - 1:30 , Enrollment ongoing

Cost: FREE

Beginners Polish I - designed for students with no previous knowledge of Polish; provides basic speaking, writing and reading skills that will help the students communicate in fundamental everyday situations. Elements of Polish grammar are introduced.
Class meets on Tuesday, 7:45 - 9 PM, first class meets on January 17, 2012

Cost: $55 (per semester) plus optional textbooks

Beginners Polish II - (prerequisite Beginners Polish I or equivalent) focuses on building vocabulary in order to develop better comprehension and conversation skills.  We will continue introducing grammatical concepts and structures. Students will begin developing basic writing skills.
Class meets on Tuesday, 6:15 - 7:45 PM, first class meets on January 17, 2012,

Intermediate I (prerequisite Beginners Polish II or equivalent) focuses on conversation and comprehension, with more advanced grammatical concepts.
Class meets on Tuesday, 5 - 6:15 PM, first class meets on January 17, 2012,

Future Classes
These additional levels will be offered if enough students request them

Intermediate II (prerequisite Intermediate I class or equivalent) concentrates on conversation and composition, while working with more advanced literary materials.

Advanced A conversational class designed for students who already have basic speaking and writing skills and want to further improve their Polish language command.
