The Krakowiaki Polish Folk circle is hosting this event as a fundraiser to pay off the debt incurred last summer when they purchased a complete set of new costumes.

Swieconka, a Polish Easter Traditions workshop and celebration will take place on Sunday, March 18th from 12-5 PM at former Our Lady of Hungary Parish Hall, 545 N Belle Vista Avenue, Youngstown, OH, 44509-1597.
This event will feature folk art workshops in egg decorating, palm weaving and paper cutting lead by noted Polish folklorist, Lawrence Kozlowski.
New this year, the children will have their own folk dance, culture and art workshop session from 2-3 PM!
There also will be traditional Polish baked goods, deli items and ethnic vendors with seasonal folk items available for purchase. Admission is FREE.

About the Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle
The Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle is a non-profit, community-based organization that is devoted to conveying to the next generation an appreciation of authentic Polish culture and heritage through exploration of dance, music, language study and folk art in a fun and supportive environment. The Krakowiaki children and adult choir performs throughout the year at various community events. After three years in existence, the Krakowiaki is building its repertoire and the proceeds of this event will go to purchase additional authentic regional costumes.
