vodka and beer have arrived and the tickets are on sale!! Time to make your
plans to attend this year's most elegant of Polish events! We have added a lot
of class to this already chic event by hosting it at the region's historic and premiere
location – the Youngstown
Country Club. Since 1898, The YCC
has been one of the nation's most exquisite and premier private clubs…and their
members were eager to have us back! We
will be starting off by with a Polish touch with an appetizer
display brought back by popular demand. Thanks to some generous donors Krakus Deli will
be rolling out their best "szlachta" menu of salmon,
caviar, kielbasa and herring will be a flavorful first course. This will be complimented by a delicious
hosted tasting of Polish vodkas, beers and spirytus
as well as a tasting table provided by our friends at Ytown Vodka. To keep it stylish, we have invited Radek Fizek, former Mazowsze member,
to entertain us with his amazing violin, vocals and DJ music. His great music sets the tone for the evening as guests enjoy
trivia meet-and-greets, bead contests, elegant basket raffles, and others
games. But there is more!
The delicious pączki will be presented in grand
fashion by the Ladies of the Team. Then
begins as all the attendees line up to choose their chubby little pączek.
One lucky person will reign as the 2017 Paczki King or Queen if he or
she has picked the donut with the
hidden gold coin!
bring along a non-Polish friend to enjoy the festivities? Sometimes we are
hesitant to bring them along to Polish Day with all the polkas, pierogi and
folk dance but seriously---who wouldn't enjoy this?!

Polish Happy Hour hosts Vodka Cocktail Contest
It's time again for one of our
favorite nights of the year-the region's only such event--our 8th Annual Vodka Cocktail
Contest. Again this year we are making
it its own fun party! Hosted by Suzie's Dogs & Drafts and sponsored by Y-Town
Vodka, our annual competition
welcomes both amateurs and professionals. So if you think you mix a mean drink,
you can compete against some veterans and other home-grown mixologists.
Bartenders from some of Youngstown's hippest establishments-and Polish Happy
Hour host locations-will compete head to head while our Host narrates the fun.
All will be competing for cash prizes and bragging rights as judges test each
drink for creativity, flavor and originality. The selected cocktail will be the
Signature Drink for Ostatki the next night.
BACK THIS YEAR - FLAIR Bartending Demo!
Eat your heart out, Tom Cruise-this cool
cocktail entertainment didn't stop with your movie Cocktail! Sometimes referred to as "extreme
bartending" or contracted to "flairtending," flair is when there is fancy showmanship
added to the making of your drink. Recently, there is a noticeable rise in
bartenders combining prominent mixology knowledge and working flair skills all
over the world. Working flair requires precision and practice and is rarely
available in Ytown. However, we have
brought two of the Valley's retired national competitors out of retirement for
this event! ZAPRASZAMY! Join us for our 8th
Annual Vodka Cocktail Contest on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 7PM at Suzie's
Dogs & Drafts. For more information call 330-333-9724.

your favorites in the morning. Look for the party to travel from Poland, to the
Davis Center @ Millcreek Park and to the Deli on Belmont Avenue. Back by
popular demand are the Pączki Polka All-Stars in the evening for dinner. Add to this Kiederowski's delicious pączki
and Jack's great food specials; then wash it all done with some nice cold Zywiec, and you got the makings for a great Pre-Lenten celebration.
For more information call 330-333-9724.
