Thanks to all of you who travel to Cleveland this past weekend to participate in the first-ever Zatanczmy! It was a spectacular cultural event, a feat of cooperation and a success by any measure.

More than 130 performers ranging in age from 3-60 graced the stage at Magnificat High School Performing Arts Center presenting Polish folk dance in the gala spirit normally reserved for the national dance troupes of Europe. Click here for the review and photos

Poland 2010

Plans are underway for Polish Youngstown’s trip to Poland next summer. There is still plenty of time for you to get on board. However, to finalize plans, and to make this trip truly tailored to your wishes, your further input is needed.

Mitch Benia of Kniola Travel will be holding a Strategic Planning Meeting on Thursday, October 22, at 6 PM St. Joseph the Provider at 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, OH 44405 Click here for More info

Polish Comedy Tour

This Saturday NW Pennsylvania native Bob Golub will bring his Three Poles Walk into a Bar Comedy Tour to Mountaineer Casino in nearby Chester, W.Va.

This event is the first-ever comedy tour featuring national headlining Polish/American comics and, of course, an accordion player. Is it over the top or just plain funny? You be the judge! Get a taste of the show based on an event they did in Erie by clicking HERE.

Warsaw Village Band

This oh-so-cool hard-core Polish folk band has been dumped by the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland for Nov 1st.  Some of PolishYoungtown’s musically inclined participants have been working with promoters to get the band here instead. Click HERE to learn more and hear why we want to bring them to town. No luck yet but we’ll let you know if anything changes.

The back up plan is to head to Pittsburgh on Monday, November 2 at 7:30 pm, at Synod Hall auditorium, located at 125 N. Craig St in Oakland directly behind St. Paul's Cathedral. The event is sponsored by our friends at the Polish Cultural Council. Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance. Call 412-871-3347 for more information. Contact if you are interested in piling into a car and heading down.
