The Polish American Heritage Month celebrations continues this week as we recognize our special month with a number of activities…This past week we learned the perseverance and sacrifice of Marie Skłodowska Curie at the Oh Wow! Museum, explored “man’s anthropomorphic limitations” as put forth by Stanislaw Lem in Solaris at Barnes & Noble and enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon tailgating before the YSU football game. Have you made to time to celebrate yet?  There is still time! We have put together wide and varied festivities for every taste so make sure you join in!

Amber: Window to the Past

Although it is too late to enjoy that the online, interactive web version of the exhibit is worth checking exploring. LEARN MORE

News from Poland
A lone white stork is preparing to sit out the Polish winter, two months after the mass migration of the birds to Africa. This is big news in Poland since it is considered Europe’s White Stork capitol. Every year 41 thousand stork couples come to Poland. Most of them live by rivers and lakes in the eastern areas near Podlasie. The birds are greeted warmly because traditions say they bring good luck.
